The Monash Wireless Network

To connect to the wireless network, you must complete all 4 steps listed below.
  1. Make sure you have an authcate account. This is the username and password that you use to access your email and the Internet.
  2. Purchase a wireless network card and install the software drivers for that card. Most new laptops and some Pocket PC PDAs have inbuilt wireless capability.
  3. You must register your network card before you can get access to the wireless network.
    1. To find out your MAC address, please follow these instructions. If you have a Pocket PC PDA, please follow these instructions.
    2. The wireless network may remain invisible to your computer for up to an hour after a successful registration. This is a once only process.
  4. You must install the VPN client software in order to use the wireless network. The Monash VPN client is compatible with Windows, Macintosh and Linux Operating Systems. If you have a Pocket PC device, then you must purchase a suitable VPN Client.

In order to access the Monash Wireless Network you MUST use a VPN Client.
