Sophos Antivirus Licence Conditions

Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh
Monash university's license agreement for the Sophos anti-virus product allows it to be installed:
  1. On all PCs belonging to the Licensee (ie Monash University)
  2. On PCs belonging to staff and students of the Licensee provided such PCs are not used for commercial purposes other than in relation to their work for the Licensee.

Hardware Requirements

Windows

  • Intel® Pentium® processor
  • Microsoft® Windows® 95 OSR 2.0, Windows 98, Windows NT®* 4.0 with Service Pack 5 or 6, Windows 2000, or Windows XP
  • 8 MB of RAM
  • 10 MB of available hard-disk space

Macintosh

  • PowerPC® processor
  • Mac OS software version 8.1 and above. Sophos is not yet available for Apple Macintosh OS-X. OS-X users can install the OS 8.1 to 9.x version, but will not get the InterCheck functionality.
  • 8 MB of RAM
  • 5 MB of available hard-disk space
