Microsoft Office Licence Conditions

Monash licensed with limitations (see below)
Current Restrictions 7000 units available across all campuses.All Microsoft software is available on a Work at Home license. If a valid licensed copy of a MS product is available to a staff member, they are allowed to have it installed at home for work purposes.

Hardware Requirements

Office 2003 - Windows

  • Intel® Pentium® processor 233Mhz (Pentium III recommended)
  • Windows 2000 Servcie Pack 3, Windows XP or later
  • 128 MB of RAM
  • 400 MB of available hard-disk space

Office XP - Windows

  • Intel® Pentium® processor 133Mhz (Pentium III recommended)
  • Windows 98, Windows 2000, or Windows XP
  • 64 MB of RAM (128 MB for Windows XP)

Office 2000 - Windows

  • Intel® Pentium® processor
  • Microsoft® Windows® 95 OSR 2.0, Windows 98, Windows NT®* 4.0 with Service Pack 5 or 6, Windows 2000, or Windows XP

  • 250 MB of available hard-disk space

  • G3, Mac OS X–compatible processor or faster
  • Mac OS X version 10.2.8 or later
  • 256 MB of RAM
  • 450 MB of available hard-disk space

Office OSX - Macintosh

  • G3, Mac OS X compatible
  • Mac OS X version 10.1 or later.
  • 128 MB of RAM
  • 196 MB of available hard-disk space

Office 2001 - Macintosh

  • PowerPC® processor (120 MHz recommended).
  • Mac OS 8.1 to 9.x (Mac OS 8.5 or later recommended)
  • 32 MB of RAM (with virtual memory on) (64 MB recommended)
