GraphPad Prism

Dear Faculty staff and students,

I am pleased to announce that the Faculty has just signed a site licence with Graphpad Prism. This site licence that will enable all faculty staff and students to install the latest version of Graphpad Prism on their work or home computers (both Windows and Macintosh). This initiative has been generously funded by the Faculty Committee for Information Technology in Teaching, Research and Administration.

What is Graphpad Prism?

"GraphPad Prism is a powerful combination of biostatistics, curve fitting (nonlinear regression) and scientific graphing in one comprehensive program. You can easily organise, analyse and graph repeated experiments; pick appropriate statistical tests and interpret the results."

Licensing restrictions:

1. This software is only available for staff and students of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing, and Health Sciences.
2. Under no circumstances is this software to be loaned or installed on any Faculty computer without first registering the installation on the Graphpad Website
3. You may install Prism on as many computers as you wish, provided you will use Prism only for university related work.
4. The software must be uninstalled if you leave the faculty.
5. The faculty has approved funding for two years and the current Faculty of Medicine, Nursing, and Health Sciences license expires on April 30, 2009.
   Note that like SPSS, a new code is issued each year.
   Further license renewals, beyond this pilot 2 year period, will depend on the total number of users registered at the end of the second year.
