Can I access sites outside Monash/Why can I only access Monash sites?

Yes, access to "external" sites is permitted. If you are unable to access sites outside Monash, your browser probably does not have the proxies set correctly.  Instructions on how to configure the proxy for your browser can be found at the ITS Mandatory Proxy Authentication website.

Does network access cost anything?

Yes, connecting to the network through a wall outlet incurs tariffs - please visit the ITS tariffs website for more information.
