The primary rectus abdominis myocutaneous flap for perineal and vaginal defects

Thirty one patients were studied following one-stage rectus abdominis myocutaneous flap recontruction of extensive perineal and vaginal wounds, frequently after radiotherapy. This procedure results in excellent healing of difficult wounds with only moderate morbidity.
