Clinical Services

The Professorial Surgical Service provides a clinical service to the Alfred Hospital.

The members of this unit are:

Through the surgeons of this unit a broad range of surgical sub-specialties are covered including hepatobiliary, colorectal, upper gastrointestinal and trauma surgery. Outpatients clinics, elective operating lists and on-call commitments to the Alfred Hospital are provided through this service.

Specific areas of interest include treatment of colorectal liver metastases, laparoscopic surgery, the Lap-Band operation for morbid obesity, the artificial anal sphincter for anal incontinence.
