Molecular Biology

Summary

The Molecular Biology Laboratory is supervised by Daphne Vogiagis. Areas of study include mechanisms of gastric mucosal injury and repair, in particular the effect of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and aging. Molecular mechanisms controlling the rate of cell growth and depth in colorectal cancer are also under investigation, including the role of inhibitors of COX-1 and COX-2 on colorectal cancer cell growth.
