Colorectal Cancer

Summary

Research into treatment of Colorectal Cancer is supervised by Stewart Skinner. Studies include prevention of colon cancer by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and related agents. This is being studied in both animal models and in clinical studies. Further studies investigate the role of the microvasculature in growth of colorectal cancer. Agents are being tested which have been shown to have effects on the tumour microvasculature and therefore may control the growth of colorectal cancer by interfering with its blood supply.
