Years 3, 4 and 5 of the MBBS are conducted predominantly in the clinical environment under the supervision of medical practitioners with the important engagement of health professionals such as pharmacists, nurses, community health staff, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, radiographers to name a few.
In Year 3 students choosing a rural placement will spend two semesters in a single location developing their skills, knowledge and attributes in relation to general medicine and general surgery.
