A NHMRC funded study (PDisler is Co-principal investigator) in collaboration with Universities of Newcastle, Flinders, Melbourne and New South Wales. This addresses several questions:
1.   How GPs detect and manage people with dementia
2.   The value of a questionnaire (GPCOG) that GPs can use to detect dementia in its early stages. 
3.   Whether screening (nil complaints of memory problems) or case finding (patients complain of memory problems to their GP) is a better way to diagnose dementia
4.   Whether training for GPs based on the NSW ‘Care of Patients with the Dementia in General Practice Guidelines’ changes practice.
