I am a full-time PhD candidate (started March 2005) with the Monash University School of Rural Health, based at the Moe Office. My research goal is: " To investigate and develop a conceptual model and index of primary care access that is sensitive to the health needs of rural populations".

In 1994, I completed a Bachelors of Science at the University of Melbourne, majoring in statistics and minors in mathematics and computing. In 1995, also at the Uni of Melb, I completed Honours in statistics. In 2003, I completed a Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (Internet Software) with Swinburne University.

I joined the School of Rural Health in 1998. During this time, I have worked on many projects, too many to mention here. This has allowed me to develop the following skills: applying advanced statistical methods; survey design; database design and development; advanced web programming.

I am also a part-time Lecturer with the Centre for Multi-Disciplinary Studies (CMDS) in Rural Health, with occasional support to the Gippsland Regional Clinical School (GRCS). As a Lecturer, my main role is as the consultant statistician for research within the CMDS and GRCS. I am also joint subject advisor of Research Methods, which is a core subject in the Graduate Diploma/Masters in Rural Health, and a tutor for Evidenced Based Clinical Practice in the undergraduate Medicine course.
