| Biography |
Dr Eleanor Mitchell’s current role at the School of Rural Health involves assisting academics and health professionals in East Gippsland to establish their own research and program evaluations. Eleanor is currently involved in several education and community-based research programs and evaluations. Eleanor has a PhD in developmental urogenital research, which she completed in the Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology at Monash University. She also has a Graduate Certificate in Health Promotion and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours) focussing on the effects of twin births on kidney development. Prior to rejoining Monash University, Eleanor spent nearly three years at the Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital assisting the University of Melbourne Department of Ophthalmology and the Centre for Eye Research Australia with research administration and grant-writing, internal benchmarking and reviews, and facilitating clinicians to undertake research. |
