Research

MUDRIH undertakes research to bring about improvements in the heath and wellbeing of residents of rural, remote and regional communities, and to assist in building the research capacity of rural health practitioners and stakeholders.  The focus is on projects directly relevant to rural communities and which inform the development of government policy in relation to rural health services.

Operating from Moe, MUDRIH undertakes community and clinical rural health research across Victoria in conjunction with its educational and vocation activities.  MUDRIH plays an important role through its multi-disciplinary focus on research in indigenous and rural population health.

Current research strengths include: public population health, wellbeing, mental health and interprofessional learning.

One of our core responsibilities is to help grow health research capacity in rural areas.

  • Collaborate on research studies
  • Provide research supervision
