2008 CWA/ARNM Scholarship
Awarded to Mollie Burley
The Department of Rural and Indigenous Health (MUDRIH) is proud to announce that our colleague and friend Mollie Burley has been awarded the inaugural CWA/ARNM Scholarship, valued at $1,500.
Mollie has broad experience in rural health management, education and research at both an undergraduate and postgraduate level. She is a registered nurse with specific interests in advanced practice nursing and the develoopment and support of Interprofessional learning across health professions.
The Australian Rural Nurses & Midwives (ARNM) aims to promote quality health care through excellence in rural nursing and midwifery practice and by supporting nurses and midwives in the development and delivery of health care services in rural Australia. ARNM is a relevant organisation to represent rural nurses and midwives in all settings and at all levels.
The Country Women’s Association of Australia (CWA) aims to improve the conditions for country women and children and tries to make life better for women and their families, especially those women living in rural and remote Australia.
The purpose of this scholarship is to assist a Registered Nurse to undertake a professional development activity aimed at advancing clinical practice and health care delivery within rural communities. The CWA/ARNM Certificate and cheque will be presented to Mollie by the National President of the CWA, Lesley Young, at the ARNM National Conference in Adelaide on 6-7 November 2008.
Congratulations and well done Mollie!
