Anske is a Research Fellow in the Department of Rural and Indigenous Health, lecturing in research methods, rural health issues, and rural health policies for the Masters of Health Science. Her focus is on the health care concerns and needs of rural people and the rural environment, and improving health care services in rural communities. Anske's PhD (2007) explored the use of and diversity within complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). Through her research and publications she has drawn attention to CAM use and the need for the integration of CAM into conventional medicine as well as the health care needs of rural people.
