Dr RoseAnne Misajon

Biography

Dr RoseAnne Misajon is a research fellow interested in the wellbeing of people with disability and chronic illness, the psychosocial aspects of quality of life and mental health, and the development of quality of life measures. She joined Prof. Lenore Manderson and her team in 2005, and is currently working on the RESILIENCE Project which investigates disability and chronic illness in Australia and Southeast Asia.

Dr Misajon is also a registered psychologist with the Psychologist Registration Board of Victoria.

Dr Rosanne Misajon

She is a member of national and international organisations focusing on quality of life research. Dr Misajon has several publications, and has presented and chaired at national and international conferences. In addition, she also co-produces and co-hosts a national weekly television program for community television, and is interested in the overlap between art and research.

Postgraduate Research Projects

Dr Misajon is currently co-supervising a PhD student looking at the health and health-related behaviours of factory workers in Indonesia. Other student research projects she is currently or has recently supervised include social barriers to cervical cancer screening in Malaysia, sexual well-being among people with intellectual disability, and mobile phone use among adolescents.
