Limbs 4 LifeLenore Manderson and Narelle Warren collaborate with the Limbs 4 Life Amputee Support Group through the ADAPT project, which explores social factors influencing the adaptation to amputation. Through this collaboration, we disseminate our research findings back to study participants, and other members of the amputee community, through the Limbs 4 Life publication, Amplified. Amputation can happen to anyone, for a range of reasons. Limbs 4 Life is committed to ensuring that no amputee should go through the trauma of limb loss alone. Limbs 4 Life supports amputees, their families and primary care givers by providing up-to-date information and advice, and through peer support. Membership is free. Limbs 4 Life was established in 2004 by Melissa Noonan and Jacinta Dyson, and has grown to employ two staff members and countless volunteers. Limbs 4 Life receives support from numerous organisations, companies and individuals who recognise that there is a need for greater amputee-orientated support in the community. Limbs 4 Life supports people who are facing limb loss for the first time or have been an amputee for many years, through information and programs. How do I become involved? Please contact Melissa Noonan (Melissa@limbs4life.com) or Jacinta Dyson (Jacinta@limbs4life.com). You can also contact Limbs4life by |
