Travelling to Caulfield campus
By car: the nine kilometres (six mile) trip from the city of Melbourne will take about 25
minutes in peak hour traffic and 15 minutes at other times. If you are coming from Melbourne airport, add another 45 minutes in peak hour and 30 minutes at other times. A taxi rank is situated on the railway station side of Sir John Monash Drive. (Melways map ref. 68 F1)
By train: the Caulfield Railway Station is adjacent to the campus. Four lines stop at the
station: Cranbourne, Dandenong, Frankston and Pakenham.
By tram: the number three tram from Swanston Street in Melbourne will also take you
directly to Caulfield campus.
By bus:
Bus Route 624 -- Kew, Auburn Railway Station, Caulfield Railway Station,
Chadstone Shopping Centre, Holmesglen Institute of TAFE, Oakleigh Railway
Station.
Bus Route 900 -- Stud Park Shopping Centre, Waverley Park, Monash

Course Details
Allied Health and New Allied Health Staff Course 2009 - 2010
Below are details of the Allied Health Graduate Course for 2009 and 2010. A person can start the course at any stage. It is built on the National Mental Health Standards.
There are three parts to each day:
- Homework : pre-reading, activity or undertaking on-line study
- Course Days: Each day will consider the online and other material. A range of case studies, role plays and other practical work will then be considered.
- Journal Club: Each participant will be expected to present a journal article and lead an intelligent discussion. The journal club will commence at 3pm and is open to all allied health staff.

Develop one case study showing arrange of ethical issues that you have been confronted with in your workplace.

- Meet with your carer and consumer consultants in your service and report back to the group on their roles. OR
- Explore the site: Mental Health Legislation.
You will need to navigate to the consumer section and select one report to explore and report in class.
