Centre for Rural Mental Health

The is a joint initiative of the Bendigo Health Care Group and Monash University. The Centre for Rural Mental Health aims to:

  1. Provide leadership in the development of innovative mental health services tailored to the needs of rural communities.
  2. Undertake research in a wide range of areas relevant to rural communities, including the nature, prevalence, and cause of mental health problems amongst individuals living in rural and remote areas, and the most appropriate ways of managing these problems.
  3. Contribute to education and training programs including undergraduate and postgraduate training in a variety of health professions, and continuing professional development/upskilling for mental health professionals.

The Centre for Rural Mental Health is located on the Bendigo Hospital Campus in Barnard Street, Bendigo.
