Prof Paul Fitzgerald

Prof Paul Fitzgerald is the Deputy Director of APRC. He is a consultant psychiatrist and senior lecturer with the Department of Psychological Medicine and Monash University.  Prof Fitzgerald completed his psychiatric training at Dandenong and a fellowship in schizophrenia research at the University of Toronto in Canada. Prof Fitzgerald heads up the Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and neuroimaging program at APRC, conducting research into the pathophysiology and treatment of schizophrenia and the affective disorders. In addition he provides clinical and research leadership and input into a number of other projects, including the Schizophrenia Care Assessment Program (SCAP) and the Early Psychosis Program of Alfred Psychiatry.
