Graduate Certificate in Mental Health for Teaching Professions - Flexible LearningGraduate Certificate in Mental Health for Teaching Professions via Distance Education. The Graduate Certificate consists of two units (MHT0001 and MHT0002), each with three modules. To guide you through the course, you will be sent Unit Materials for each of the two units which will be the basis for your studies. Each session within the two units will be introduced by the lecturer, reference material will be provided and short answer questions will reinforce learning of the material. You will also receive a Unit Guide for each unit, along with the Course Guide and a CeLTS (Centre for Learning and Teaching Support) DE Information and Resource pack. The course will embrace the latest internet technology as developed by the leading Monash ITS team with tutorials being conducted asynchronously via Threaded Discussion Groups. Threaded Discussion provides remote students the opportunity to network and discuss with each other theoretical and practical issues relating to the course itself, or to their daily teaching experiences. The asynchronous nature of the discussions means that you will not be required to participate at a set date and time, as is the case with online synchronous chat (or chatrooms). This also overcomes the problem of slower typists not being able to keep up with the discussion, and hence feeling left out as is often the case with chat groups.
