4th Year Application Information

4th Year Programs offered by SPPPM for 2009

• Psychology Honours
• Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology
• Advanced Behavioural Neuroscience
• Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours)

The application form for 4th year courses offered by the School of Psychology, Psychiatry and Psychological Medicine is now open.

All three programs are applied for on the same application form which is is to be submitted on-line by clicking the SUBMIT button on the application form. Please DO NOT print out the form and submit it by mail.

Applications close on 31 October, 2008

International Students

Must complete two application forms.  International students must apply on the above SPPPM application form AND MUST also apply through the Monash International Office to register and organise visas and other requirements. 

Applicants for Honours in the Bachelor of Behavioural Neuroscience degree other than BNS and Psychology

Applicants for Honours in the Bachelor of Behavioural Neuroscience degree in the disciplines of PHYSIOLOGY, PHARMACOLOGY, ANATOMY, GENETICS, BIOCHEMISTRY, and IMMUNOLOGY must only complete the BNS Faculty application form and return the completed hardcopy to Tanya Jones, School of Psychology, Psychiatry and Psychological Medicine, Building 17, Clayton Campus, Monash University, 3800.

Applicants for Honours in the Bachelor of Behavioural Neuroscience degree applying for a place in PSYCHOLOGY or the GENERIC Behavioural Neuroscience discipline SHOULD ONLY complete the web-based Psychology 4th Year Application Form

Applicants for Honours in the Bachelor of Biomedical Science

This Degree is administered through the School of Biological Sciences. Students applying for Honours in the Bachelor of Biomedical Science who wish to undertake their research with staff members of the School of Psychology, Psychiatry and Psychological Medicine need to apply to the School of Biomedical Sciences

Additional Application Materials Required

In addition to the electronically submitted application form, a range of other application material will be required. These are outlined in detail on the application and, where appropriate, proforma are available in downloadable form. Please check the list below and make a note of those materials you will be required to send, and ensure that you send them to the address at the bottom of the page in time to arrive in the last mail on Friday14 November 2008.

Monash Students:

Current Monash Students (those completing 3rd year in 2008 at Monash):

• No additional material required

Completed Degree Students

• Certified Academic Transcript

  All applicants other than current Monash University students must forward to the 4th year Administrative Assistant a certified copy of their Academic Transcript that includes both a mark and a grade for all subjects attempted.  In addition, for students who have completed their degree, the Academic transcript must include a notification of degree completion and prove this on the transcript.

  Your University should be able to provide you with a certified copy of your transcript.  If this is not possible then you will need to obtain certification that the copy you have made is a true and accurate copy of your transcript from any one of the range of people qualified to witness statutory declarations (e.g., police officer, Justice of the Peace, Postmaster, etc.).

Current 3rd Year students:

• Signed Results Permission Forms A and B
• Certified Academic Transcript - including both mark and grade for all subjects

Completed Degree Applicants:

• Certified Academic Transcript - including both mark and grade for all subjects AND notification of degree completion

Applicants for the Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology (Off-Campus)

In addition to the required materials listed above, those students applying for the Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology Off-Campus) must also forward a:

• Residential School Acknowledgment Form
  

Submission of additional material

Please Note:

Although the application form must be submitted by 31st of October 2008, additional materials will be accepted until Friday 14th November 2008. An application will not be considered unless ALL necessary materials are received by that date.
