|Suitable for||Health practitioners (including medical doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists, pharmacists, and other allied health professionals), biomedical and public health researchers, and those working in the health industry who are interested in understanding the basics of clinical research and the principles of evidence based practice (EBP)|
|Aims||After completing this course participants will be able to:
• Describe the different research methodologies used in clinical research
• Design clinical research methodologies
• Understand the principles of EBP
• Construct a clinical question
• Effectively search the medical literature
• Interpret biomedical data
• Critically appraise clinical research
|Overview||This short course will consist of formal lectures, small group discussions and workshops. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in theory and practical learning opportunities across the two days.
|Materials||A resource and workbook will be provided to all participants|
