Dr Samantha Thomas is a Health Sociologist and Senior Research Fellow. She previously worked at the World Health Organisation, and King's CollegeLondon before joining Monash University in 2005. Samantha's current research interests include: The socio-cultural dimensions of obesity; Community and user engagement strategies; Cancer survivorship; Prevention and Management of Chronic Disease; Media representation of illness; Risk communication and information seeking. Samantha is a regular commentator in national and international media on the social dimensions of health and wellbeing.
