Mr Chris Anderson(Research Fellow & Executive Officer)
Mr Chris Anderson, BScED, BTheol, has a background of 18 years as a secondary school teacher, student welfare coordinator, and curriculum consultant in the development of STD/AIDS prevention education materials and teacher training modules. He then moved into private practice and undertook a number of research and education projects including work with the RACGP and Divisions of General Practice. He then took up a research position in the School of Public Health at Latrobe University and is now a Research Fellow, Primary Care Research in the School of Primary Health Care here at Monash University. Chris is currently the coordinator of the Primary Health Care Research Evaluation and Development (PHCRED) Initiative at Monash which aims to increase the research capacity in primary health care. His role in PHCRED includes development and delivery of research and methodology courses for primary care professionals Chris’s major research interests are in Problem Gambling, Healthy Ageing and GP post graduate training. He is currently undertaking his PhD in problem gambling among older Australians: prevalence, risk and protective factors.
