Development of Chinese Aged Care Service Standards
Professors Browning and Thomas and Dr Yang are collaborating with the China Research Centre on Ageing (CRCA) in the development of Aged Care Service Standards for China. The CRCA team has been charged with the task by the Chinese Government for the development of Chinese Aged Care Service standards. The team has studied closely relevant Australian national standards. This work also builds on the work performed by Professor Thomas and Professor Nay and her team from La Trobe for the Victorian Government in the development of Quality of Care Performance Indicators for publicly funded Victorian Residential Aged Care Facilities. The CRCA is using these standards and the methodologies and advice provided by us to assist with the development of their own local standards.
