Beijing Shunyi Hospital

Beijing Shunyi hospital was established in March 1947. After more than half century’s development, the hospital became a modernised comprehensive hospital classified as top class second level combined with prevention, medical treatment, education and research. It serves more than 560,000 permanent residents and 200,000 temporary residents in the district, and also covers the large nearby area. The hospital was named as Baby Love Hospital by WHO in 1994. 2003 it passed ISO9001:2000 quality management system authentication by Germany TUV Company.

The hospital occupies 42000m² with 725 beds. Yearly outpatient number is more than 610,000 and discharge number is about 23,000. There are more than 1294 staff, in which 84 have high professional titles, 412 have middle titles, as well as with 8 doctoral degree and 51 Master degree.

The hospital has more than 100 large or medium high tech medical equipments. The hospital has already begun heart, brain, and other high tech surgeries. From 2006 it has successfully carried out the national leading chest surgery, and also undertaken all kinds of interventional treatments. The hospital realised the network management for its emergency department connected with other community health service centres (clinics) in order to provide quick transfer and rescue for the seriously ill or acute patients.

The hospital will invest ￥350,000,000 to build new acute building with 40000m² and extend outpatient building 13000m² to add more than 600 beds before 2008 Olympic Games. The hospital will develop to a modernised international medical centre with top class third level in 2008.
