Felicity Lorains

Ms Felicity Lorains was employed in December 2008 as a Research Assistant for the Healthy Ageing Research Unit (HARU) and the Melbourne Monash Problem Gambling Research and Treatment Centre. I have a Bachelor in Behavioural Neuroscience and Honours in Psychology both from Monash University.

Current Projects and Activities I am involved in include:

  • Development of clinical guidelines for the screening, assessment and treatment of problem gambling.
  • Older men’s health: examining rural and regional older CALD men’s perceptions of depression and barriers/facilitators for service utilisation.
  • Use of research-based theatre in health promotion: evaluation of the Wicked Widows performance as a model for the use of theatre in other health areas.
  • Member of the conference committee organising the 8th National conference for Emerging Researchers in Ageing (ERA) 2009
