Dr Farzad Sharifian

Over the last 10 years Dr Sharifian has significantly contributed to the fields of linguistics, anthropology, and cognitive science. As an Early Career Researcher, Farzad has been able to contribute (either solo or as a co-author) three edited books and 40 refereed articles and chapters (23 journal articles, 12 book chapters, 5 articles in refereed proceedings). These include publications in reputable international journals and in several edited volumes published or planned to be published by highly reputable publishers. He has also sustained an active program of conference and symposium organization at the international level. Dr Sharifian’s doctoral thesis was rated as outstanding by all three external examiners and he has received multiple awards and medals for this work.

Dr Sharifian was an ARC Post-Doctoral Fellow on his own Discovery Project from 2003 to 2005. He serves on the editorial board of 4 journals and leads several international projects.
