Profile:
Stephanie Vrionis, B.A. (Monash) BSW (RMIT) joined the Department of Social Work in 2007 after seven years of experience in working with migrants and refugees. Ms Vrionis has primarily worked with refuges in re-settlement, community health, advocacy and community development. In 2005, Ms Vrionis focussed her work on developing, co-ordinating and delivering a three year family relationship service pilot program to newly arrived refuges. Part of this work involved co-ordinating the relationship service, providing family support, counselling and delivering programs to families on how to parent across cultures. Ms Vrionis began her work in the welfare field delivering individualised learning programs to children with autism and other related intellectual disabilities. Currently, Ms Vrionis is part of the fieldwork team and the Skills Co-ordinator at Monash.
