School of Biomedical Sciences Animal Ethics Committees (AECs)

Animal Ethics Application Charges commencing January 2006

In August 2005, the School Executive agreed that there would be a charge ‘per application’ on a monthly basis. The new regime of charges, which commenced in January 2006, is as follows:

  • New application fee for Monash groups - $650
  • New application fee for non-Monash groups - $1000
  • One off resubmission for Monash groups - $100
  • One off resubmission fee for non-Monash groups - $100

The School of Biomedical Sciences will send an Internal Debit Note (IDN) to the relevant department and will invoice non-commercial entities directly.

Researchers are requested to provide cost centre and fund source for IDNs or billing details of the commercial company to be charged so that an IDN or invoice can be raised.
