About Southern Clinical School - Monash University

Monash University’s Southern Clinical School (SCS) was established in 2001 as an integrated teaching school with Southern Health hospital. The school is a part of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and is based at Monash Medical Centre (MMC), only minutes walk from Monash University Clayton campus.

Teaching Programs

The School offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs. SCS works with Southern Health to create enormous benefits for medical students. Southern Health is a major teaching hospital.

The Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program is undertaken by the School. Units cover every specialist medical, clinical and surgical discipline. Our association with hospitals enables the effective placement and training of medical students in clinical settings.
