Indigenous students - Phd scholarships
The School of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health is pleased to offer full scholarships for up to 2 Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students annually to undertake a PhD program in a discipline covered by SCS. This can include clinical or basic science projects.
The School is a vibrant hub of teaching and translational research with a strong collaboration between Monash University and Monash Health, Victoria’s largest hospital network. SCS sits within the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, Monash University, and seeks to provide an innovative approach to research, education, teaching and clinical practice. The School is at the forefront of medical, clinical and translational research and education and is an integral part of the Monash Health Translation Precinct (MHTP). Research at SCS is varied and of the highest international standards.

Applicants are invited to apply at any time during the year, but applications will be considered twice yearly, in March/April and October/November. Promising applicants may be invited to attend an interview (expenses paid) to help match them with a potential supervisor, based on their research interests. Alternatively, applicants may initiate contact with potential supervisors themselves.
Applicants will be judged on academic merit and research experience/preparedness and may also be encouraged to apply for other scholarships through the Monash Graduate Research system.
