Wendy graduated from Medicine at Monash University in 1980. Her subsequent internship and JRMO was at Maroondah Hospital, Ringwood. She then worked for several years in general practice before completing her Dip Ed from the University of Melbourne in1992. Wendy has taught biological sciences in Melbourne tertiary educational institutes, including RMIT, LaTrobe University, Swinburne and Deakin University. In 2001 Wendy,along with two collegues won an RMIT University Teaching Award. She has lectured at Monash University since 2009.
