In exceptional circumstances a staff account can be provided to 4th year students. Please discuss this with your supervisor and contact hdr.psych@monash.edu

Affiliates - users who do not have a Monash ID number, (i.e. external research collaborators, external students, ex-postgraduate students) can apply for an affiliate appointment and for a staff computer account. Please contact hr.psych@monash.edu

30 day account extension - staff computer accounts expire automatically at midnight of the day when a staff appointment expires. It can be extended by 30 days. Please contact hr.psych@monash.edu
Please note: If expiration is between 1 December and 1 February, the account will automatically be extended until 15 March.

Wireless access at Monash University

Eduroam

Eduroam is designed for Monash staff/students requiring wireless access not only on campus but also off campus while visiting other academic institutions. The list of other institutions where you can use eduroam can be found at the following link https://wiki.aarnet.edu.au/display/eduroam/For+End+Users

Guest-wireless

The Monash guest wireless service allows conference attendees, visitors or guests working for faculties or university divisions to be given temporary access to the Monash wireless network for the time they are at Monash.

  • Scan for the available wireless networks and select the SSID of guest-wireless (No encryption keys or similar are required)
  • A login screen will be displayed (using the https protocol). Note: You may need to enable pop-ups if they are disabled.
  • Enter your username and password you have been provided. (Visiting academics and students should use their home institution password but write their username in the format username@youruniversity.edu.au eg: jsmith@deakin.edu.au rather than just jsmith).
  • After reading and agreeing to the terms of use, check the I accept terms of use box and then click on the Login button.

Computer Facilities

AdHoc Computer Access for Staff

Staff visiting either the Clayton or Caulfield campus can access one of a number of HotDesks. Each has a desktop computer which will allow staff to login and access their email, printing, etc.

Computer Labs – for group activities

The School has a number of computer labs which are set up for the purposes of teaching. These labs are available to book for School activities if not booked for teaching activities.
