Psych: Social Sciences and Health Research - Research training
The Federation Fellowship research program addresses emerging questions in the field of applied medical anthropology and public health, and the conduct of this work maintains an international edge in the field of social science. Social science research does not require extensive infrastructure but needs a diversity of researchers to bring creative talents, skills, and approaches to the research. Professor Manderson is committed to supporting and drawing on researchers locally and internationally from various ethnic backgrounds, and from different but related disciplines. By valuing and including the strengths of other disciplines into research training, this component of the study ensures a critical mass of researchers with a wide-ranging capacity in chronic disease and well-being.
