Psych: Claudine Kraan

Biography

In 2010, I completed my Honours in Behavioural Neuroscience with a focus in the area of executive function. More recently, I commenced a PhD in the Developmental Neuroscience and Genetic Disorders Laboratory. My PhD project forms part of a larger multi-site and inter-disciplinary study funded through the Australian Research Council examining the neurobehavioural and neuromotor signatures in carriers of the fragile X syndrome. My PhD project will focus on characterising the subtle neuromotor signatures in carriers of the fragile X syndrome to identify early precursors to later neurological decline in a recently described neurodegenerative disorder, fragile X-associated tremor/ataxia syndrome (FXTAS).
