The Psychology Honours program is accredited by the Australian Psychological Accreditation Council (APAC), and provides intensive research training to permit advanced level study (i.e., PhD, Professional post-graduate degrees) in Psychology. Students are exposed to both theoretical and methodological aspects of Psychological research through a series of coursework units and a major research project undertaken within the School research themes.
Students who have completed a 3-year APAC accredited psychology major sequence are eligible to undertake a 4th year of study in Honours, although admission to the program is competitive and determined by academic merit (at least distinction average (70%) in the four core 3rd year Psychology units).
