The Monash School of Psychological Sciences is ranked amongst the best in the world. Our vision is to provide leadership in the modern discipline of psychology by integrating cutting-edge interdisciplinary research that is grounded in psychological science and clinical translation; superior teaching that is transformational in its approach of blending traditional with virtual learning experiences; and by translating our research discoveries to have a lasting impact on societal and health outcomes across the lifespan. We have an invigorating environment that recruits the best and brightest scientists world-wide, drawing upon its roots in the basic discovery sciences, cognitive, clinical and brain neurosciences, and the social sciences. We believe our students should change the world and so we equip each one with state-of-the-art knowledge, techniques and attributes that prepares them for diverse careers in research, health, business, management, law, and education.
Our professional doctoral training programs in clinical psychology and clinical neuropsychology are recognised as being outstanding and this training is supported by access to Monash’s extensive network of affiliated hospitals and clinical research centres and institutes. Moreover, our doctoral research program has fully embraced the new Monash PhD model and students embark on a journey of scientific exploration that promotes dual interdisciplinary training across cognate disciplines and across world-class research platforms (i.e. Monash Biomedical Imaging facility, Monash Sleep facility).
In other words, we aim to be the top choice for those pursuing a career in psychological research and clinical training.
