Updates to Pre-requisites for 2008 entry

Admission into the Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2008 requires the follow prerequisites:

Units 3 and 4 - a study score of at least 25 in English (any) and in any two of

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematical Methods
  • Physics
  • Specialist Mathematics

International Baccalaureate (IB) – a minimum of grade 4 at standard or higher level in English and any two of:

  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Physics
  • Mathematics SL
  • Mathematics HL
  • Further Mathematics

Note: Non-school leavers/internal transfers etc must also meet these requirements either at year 12 level or equivalent University studies. Successful completion of two semesters (Semester 1 and 2) of tertiary studies in the pre-requisite VCE subjects at a recognised tertiary institution would be considered comparable to VCE success in those subjects.

Additional Requirements for entry in 2008

Undergraduate Medicine and Health Sciences Admissions Test (UMAT)

All applicants must sit the UMAT in order to be eligible for selection for physiotherapy in 2008.
