Biotechnology Research Laboratories (BRL)
The Biotechnology Research Laboratories (BRL) aim to integrate immunological, biochemical and molecular approaches toward a whole body understanding of disease processes. Current research is focused on infections and allergies, and the development of practical solutions such as novel vaccines, diagnostics and drug targets. The BRL has close association with Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies and encourages innovation and the development of intellectual property. BRL scientists are also involved in research and development in developing countries, and the training of both national and international students and scientists.
