How to Apply

  1. Find a program you are interested in, taking note of the entry and English language proficiency requirements for the course.
  2. Locate a research supervisor - you will need to approach academic departments directly for a list of projects available in the department.  While you may want to pursue a particular topic, the Faculty can generally only provide projects that are already being run within a department.  For a comprehensive list of the research areas of each academic department, click here.
  3. Note course start dates: semester 1, 2010 – 1 March 2010; semester 2, 2010 start date - 19 July 2010(subject to departmental approval)
  4. Write your research proposal (200 -500 words)
  5. (a) Local applicants - complete applicant details of application form and submit, with certified copies of required documents to your supervisor for completion:

    (b) International applicants - - complete applicant details of application form and post, with certified copies of required documents, to Monash International with application fee.  Please attach a page outlining your project and provisional supervision arrangements.

  6. Applications generally take 4 to 8 weeks to process. If the application is incomplete, the process may be delayed.
