Dr Beverley J Vollenhoven

Dr Beverley Vollenhoven is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Monash University. Her major research interest is in the growth and development of uterine fibroids and she is one of the Founding Members of The Melbourne Fibroid Clinic. Her other research interests include infertility, ovulatory disorders and their treatment and menopause.
Dr Vollenhoven subspecializes in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She is a Consultant Gynaecologist in the Menopause Clinic and the Contraceptive Counselling Clinic at Monash Medical Centre. She is a clinician at Monash IVF.
In addition to research responsibilities in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology a Monash University, she also has teaching responsibilities. She co-ordinates fifth year medical student teaching of Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as being involved in teaching of O&G in other years of the medical student course as well as in other courses on the Faculty of Medicine.
She is actively involved in the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and is the training supervisor of clinicians specializing in this field. She is an examiner for the RANZCOG and a Senior Examiner for the Australian Medical Council.
