Areas of current research focus

Currently team members are involved in a variety of research projects and activities.

Priority Areas include:

  1. Carer/consumer participation
  2. The role of the Mental Health Nurse
  3. Respite for the carer.

Current projects under development/investigation:

  1. Mental and child health nurses experiences in dealing withsuspected or actual cases of child abuse.
  2. Loneliness and depression among elderly people living alone at home.
  3. Collaborative study into the treatment of Adolescent depression
  4. The development of a proposal to offer respite services and education for carers of patinets with mental illness.
