Master of Nursing Specialist CoursesThe Master of Nursing specialist courses prepare nurses for advance practice roles in community, acute care and continuing care clinical environments. Demand for a range of awards in particular areas of specialty practice have led to the development of specialist master of nursing courses in the following areas: Children; Critical Care; Education; Emergency; Gerontics; Mental Health; and Palliative Care. Study Sequence:To qualify for the Master of Nursing specialist awards, a candidate must have successfully completed a sequence of study to include practice specialty plus generic units. The study sequence will draw on units and resources in the Master of Nursing course. An example of study sequence is as follows:
