
Dr Audrey McKinlay was appointed as a Lecturer in the School of Psychology and Psychiatry last year, having relocated from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. Dr McKinlay's research expertise is in the field of TBI and concussion.
Late last year she was awarded the prestigious ARC Discovery Early Career Research Award (DECRA) for her project ‘Early identification of young people at risk of offending behaviour and mental health issues following traumatic brain injury’. The ARC randomly selects one DECRA recipient from each successful university to attend the announcement at Parliament House and Dr McKinlay was one of the successful researchers who was invited to attend the ceremony.
