Faculty IT innovators team with Dell to construct high performance computing cluster

The Technology Services Group within the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences has been recognised by IT partner Dell for its role in constructing a high-performance computing (HPC) cluster to support the Faculty's biomedical research efforts.

Adrian Ling, Manager Infrastructure and Major IT Projects led a team that worked with Dell to produce an easily expandable solution that maximised CPU power whilst minimising cost.  The success of the project is reflected through Dell's subsequent global publicity highlighting this achievement.

Dell's digest of the project is attached here (616kb pdf )
