The Truth Is Longer Than A Lie Children's Experiences Of Abuse And Professional Intervention

At the launch, you will find out more about how children make meaning of their experiences of abuse and hear their feedback about the systems designed to protect and support them. This new book draws on research with children who have attended specialist abuse related trauma counselling. It is a pioneering publication that presents and analyses the views f abused and traumatised children.

The release of The Truth is Longer Than a Lie will coincide with the launch of the newly established National Research Centre For The Prevention Of Child Abuse. A joint initiative of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University and the Australian Childhood Foundation.

The event will be held at 1pm on 1 May 2006
