TSG multimedia services provides a high-quality colour printing service for large-scale posters. We recommend that posters are usually supplied as Powerpoint files (set to A3, see Setting up page size in Powerpoint), and we provide a printed A3 proof for checking before final poster production. Laminating services are also available.
We recommend allowing plenty of time or checking with us before submitting your poster. Also see Urgent job requests in the Frequently Asked Questions.

Fabric posters
In addition to traditional laminated paper posters, Multimedia Services is now able to offer fabric posters, ideal for travelling. If you would like to have your poster printed on fabric, please let us know when you submit your poster for printing.
Poster timelines
Turn around time for poster printing is usually 4-5 working days (dependent on workload) although we always aim to get them out earlier or as quickly as possible (this includes providing you with the proof). We can also design your poster for you, which takes approximately 10 working days (although, again, we aim to get them out as quickly as possible).
Proofs - 1 working day from when files are received by TSG Multimedia.
Final completed posters - 3 working days from final proof approval.
Please note: during busy periods this could change. It is advisable to call us before submitting your job to double-check printing timelines.
Poster files and format
We recommend that posters are usually supplied as Powerpoint files (set to A3, see Setting up page size in Powerpoint). Please tell us if your files have been made on a Mac computer (see MAC files and issues).
Posters with transparent images and fills
Please try to avoid using transparent images and fills as they frequently don't print properly. Instead, use a lighter coloured fill to mimick the look.
Poster sizes
We cannot print larger than 90cm along one side.
- A0 (90 x 120cm) - our standard poster size
- A1 (60 x 85cm)
- A2 (42 x 60 cm)
- A3 (proof) (29.7 x 42 cm).
An extra charge applies for additional length. All posters are printed on matt paper (laminating will give a glossier finish).

Laminating
Let us know when you submit your poster if you would like the optional laminating service. Laminating is recommended to protect your poster. All laminating is with a gloss laminate.
Internal mail and courier service
We can send you your poster via the Monash internal mail system, which gets picked up at 8:30am from us. It is usually delivered by early afternoon on the same day, or the next working day.
We can also send work via courier, which will incur an additional charge of $20. Please let us know in advance if you require these services, and provide a complete delivery address.
Prices
As of 1 January 2007, our pricing structure has changed - all work for the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences (using the medicine cost centre and fund codes) will be charged only for consumables.
